The Spring Fling is in jeopardy!  We need to have 70 confirmed entries by 12 noon Monday, May 11th.  Without those entries the race will have to be canceled.

Another race?  Yeah another race, just a one off.  Think of it as a break from the regular season.  You’re not giving up the effort of winning a season championship somewhere else but you want to get away… do something a little different.  A place without so many tiny rules, by the minute time schedules… you get the idea.  Look we won’t tell the other race series where you’ve been.  Remember the racing that happens in Pahrump (Vegas Adjacent) stays in Pahrump (Vegas Adjacent)… unless you win and take the trophy home. Plus all the pictures posted on Instagram… oh and the Reels too!

Official Practice (Friday) – Half day one direction; Half day the other direction

Saturday Racing – 2 Heats and a Final Heat - The big, full track clockwise

Sunday Racing – 2 Heats and a Final Heat - The big, full track counter-clockwise (also known as backwards)  We call it the Sunday Rewind!

Qualifying (per day): Pea Pick:  Everyone says they love a good pea pick.  We agree.  Peas are awesome!

Heat 1: grid order determined by pea pick

Heat 2: grid order is inverse of Heat 1 grid.

Final Heat: grid order determined by combined finishing points of Heat 1 and Heat 2

A Spring Fling Champion

Being a winner is having the highest total combined points for both Saturday and Sunday Heat races.

Spec Tires: The Vega tire will be the spec tire for the Spring Fling at the Mountain. Please see the individual class listing below for the required spec Vega tire for each class.

Spec Fuel: VP C12 or 91 pump gas (see class listings below).  See individual class listings for specified fuel.

 

Mixing of fuel brands or types is ILLEGAL and will result in a DQ.  Any additives, whether they are performance enhancing or not, are ILLEGAL and will result in a DQ (with the exception of manufacturer additives present in pump gas from the pump). 

 

It is advised to purchase pump fuel the day of the race.  A test sample of both fuels will be taken that day and used by Post Tech for comparison.
